Christmas can bring a variety of emotions in all of us. Some of us love this season and are full of excitement and joy. Some of us mourn this time as bad memories stir up or loved ones are no longer with us to celebrate alongside us. Whatever emotion this season brings you know that you’re welcome here.
In the midst of the lights, decorations and music we want to strip away the distractions and remember the reason for the season:
A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him…and he will delight in the fear of the LORD.
– Isaiah 11:1-3
Over 2000 years ago God made a promise to His people that He would raise up a King who would lead with wisdom and justice. That King arrived in a way God’s people were not expecting. Join us December 24 at 6:30pm to hear of that arrival and why it matters for you and for me today anticipating 2020.
This is our family Christmas Eve service so the kids will be involved and helping to lead us through the Christmas Story and helping us all respond to the arrival of King Jesus. We’ll also have hot apple cider waiting as you arrive that you can enjoy throughout the service. Looking forward to seeing you!
